Valerie Anne Bertinelli (born April 14, 1970) is an American writer and actress. Through her Golden Globe Awards to her name, this actor has been famous in roles such as Barbara in CBS One Day at a Time as well as Melanie Moretti in Hot in Cleveland. Her acting career began as an early teenager, and through time, she became an experienced character actor. As a small girl, the friendship she formed with the daughter of a producer sparked a lifelong passion for the business. Bertinelli decided then to make acting profession. After completing her studies at Tami Lynn, the Tami Lynn School of Artists Bertinelli was introduced to television when she was an teen.
